Now that The Active Pursuit has built up some miles, I’m looking forward to running with readers and the group from Amber Budahn’s Wild Workouts and Wellness.
An open date in the Wild interval sessions made Thursday, June 28, a good fit for the inaugural Active Pursuit Fun Run on the Oak Leaf Trail from South Shore Park. It’s open to anyone who wants to enjoy an easy run and some socializing on summer evening.
We’ll start at 6:30 p.m. from the path in front of the playground, and have distance options of 2 miles, 3 or 6.
Ideally, we’ll take in the lake views and share tips and thoughts on running, training, racing and raising twin daughters. Plan to run at a 10-topics-per-mile pace, or slower if the conversation really gets going.
Please email me at tom@theactivepursuit.com if you have questions or suggestions. It’s going to be informal: bring your own hydration and a couple bucks if you want to finish with a beer in Bay View.
