Santa Hustle Milwaukee: You don’t even need your own Santa suit for this 5K run on the lakefront Saturday morning. The $45 race-day registration includes a Santa hat, beard and sport-fit jersey. The race organized by Adrenaline Sports Management starts at 9 a.m., in Veteran’s Park. More details can be found here.
Winter Solstice Hike: Naturalists working in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest will lead a night-time hike Saturday, the longest night of the year. The trek starts at 7 p.m. at the Zillmer Trail shelter, off Highway SS between Highways G and 67, south of Campbellsport. Click here for more details.
Hike to the tower: Expect a snowy trek to the observation tower atop Powder Hill near Hartford on Saturday afternoon. The hike to the tower starts at 2 p.m., followed by treats and displays of wildlife mounts.Smokey Bear will be there too. Click here for more information.
