Only 100 roster slots remain open for the inaugural Brewers Mini-Marathon, the 13.1-mile race that will offer 5,000 participants an opportunity to run on the warning track inside Miller Park.
The race starting at 7 a.m. on Sept. 22 will be one of the largest in the state, and is likely to reach its capacity more than a month in advance.
“The Brewers are thrilled with the response to our inaugural Mini-Marathon,” said Jason Hartlund, the Brewers’ vice resident of enterprises & event services. “Having to cap the race at 5,000 runners is well beyond our expectations for a first-year event, and shows that the runners are just as excited as we are for the upcoming race.”
The final slots will cost $85, and entries include a voucher for a ticket to any remaining 2012 regular season game or a game in April/May of 2013.
In addition to the registration numbers, race organizers shared a look at the medals to be distributed to finishers.
The race route will take runners through and around a variety of Milwaukee landmarks including the Miller Valley, the Harley-Davidson Museum, “The Domes” at Mitchell Park Conservatory and others.
