Hanson Dodge Creative, the Milwaukee-based advertising and marketing agency, scored a top 100 finish in Outside Magazine’s ranking of the top places to work in the U.S.
Known for its work for outdoor brands Trek Bicycle, Wilson Sporting Goods, Ragnar Relay Series and Outdoor Nation, Hanson Dodge appears on Outside’s list for a second straight year. It was ranked 61st on the 2013 list. Shine United, based in Madison, ranked 37th.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by Outside for the second year running,” said Ken Hanson, HDC founder and chief executive officer. “We’ve been working hard to be the place where the most talented people want to work.
“For us, that means giving our employees the opportunity to do the best work of their lives in a positive and healthy environment.”
Centered on Buffalo St. in the Historic Third Ward, Hanson Dodge offers its employees access to Trek bikes, kayaks, yoga classes and a fitness center in the building.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate all 100 of these forward-thinking companies,” said Michal Roberts, senior executive editor of Outside. “They believe success depends on helping their employees live more active and fulfilling lives. The kinds of benefits they’re providing – free fitness classes, flexible hours, subsidized healthy meals, lots of time out of the office – result in a more productive and engaged staff.”
Three of the top five companies in the Outside rankings are based in Colorado, led by Groundfloor Media, in Denver, the top place to work for those with outdoor pursuits. Zen Planner, in Highlands Ranch, Colo., Mercury CSC, in Bozeman, Mont., Tenacious Holdings/Ergodyne, St. Paul, Minn., and Ready Talk, in Denver, round out the top five.
